The Low-carbon Consulting Team From Shanghai Electric Power University Visited Leverage to Jointly Explore Sustainable Development
On March 20, 2024, Dr. Wang Yang, Associate Professor and Head of the Engineering Management Department at the School of Economics and Management of Shanghai Electric Power University, as well as a leading figure in the field of Smart Energy Management, visited Leverage. During the visit, he had in-depth discussions and exchanges with Mr. Qu Weifeng, the General Manager, and members of the sustainability team.
During the meeting, both parties expressed their sincere intentions and shared vision of collaborating in the field of sustainable development. The School of Economics and Management at Shanghai Electric Power University was established in 1981. Over the years, it has undergone several name changes, including the Department of Electric Power Enterprise Management, Department of Management Engineering, Department of Economics and Management, and School of Management and Humanities. In 2008, it was renamed the School of Economics and Management.
The field of Smart Energy Management is an interdisciplinary area of study. It primarily focuses on the efficient management and utilization of energy resources through the application of advanced information technology, data analysis, and intelligent systems. The goal is to achieve sustainable and economical energy use. This discipline integrates theories and methods from multiple fields such as energy management, information technology, and environmental science. It aims to enhance energy efficiency, reduce consumption and waste, and address the increasingly severe energy and environmental challenges to ultimately realize sustainable development.
Dr. Wang Yang, the head of the Engineering Management Department, completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Hunan University and obtained his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering and Disaster Prevention from Tongji University in 2008. He has been engaged in frontline teaching and engineering practice for an extended period. He has participated in project consulting for several major projects, including the Beijing New Airport, the main stadium of the Qatar World Cup, and the headquarters building of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
