It plays a crucial role in promoting green and low-carbon development, is an essential aspect of achieving new industrialization, and serves as an important mechanism for aligning with international standards and participating in global cooperation. Shanghai, with its significant mission to build the "Five Centers," places great importance on innovative initiatives such as the EPD international mutual recognition process. The EPD International Mutual Recognition Signing marks a significant step forward in Shanghai's international cooperation on EPD, laying the foundation for the smooth international expansion of Chinese enterprise products.

At the event, the Shanghai Green Wing Product Environmental Declaration Promotion Center was officially inaugurated, and a mutual recognition agreement was signed with EPD Italy. It became the first domestic organization to achieve mutual recognition with an international EPD organization and is currently the only EPD operating organization in China recognized by Eco Platform (the International EPD Association). This initiative helps domestic enterprises shorten the mutual recognition process with international organizations and obtain the "passport" to enter specific markets.

In January 2023, Leverage had successfully joined EPD China, becoming an accredited evaluation organization. Going forward, we will actively participate in the development and release of Product Category Rules (PCR) as well as the evaluation of Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) within the EPD China platform. We will work hand in hand with relevant stakeholders to jointly establish a standardized EPD China platform.
