Click Times:

With the upgrade of the group standard "Guidelines for Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) Evaluation of Logistics Enterprises" to an industry standard, the logistics sector has entered a new phase in promoting sustainable development and enhancing corporate social responsibility.

On April 19, 2024, the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission issued the "Notice on the 2024 Plan for Recommended Logistics Industry Standard Projects," officially approving eight recommended logistics industry standard projects, including the "Guidelines for ESG Evaluation of Logistics Enterprises" (Project No.: 303-2024-006). Relevant units were urged to promptly organize and implement the plan, ensuring timely completion of the tasks. This initiative reflects the state's high regard for green development and social responsibility in the logistics industry, while also providing logistics enterprises with clear development directions and behavioral norms. The "Guidelines for ESG Evaluation of Logistics Enterprises" was drafted under the leadership of Shanghai Polytechnic University, with Leverage serving as one of the drafting units, participating in all stages of the standard's development from inception to release. On July 3, 2023, the Shanghai Logistics Association announced that, in accordance with the "Procedures for Formulating Group Standards of the Shanghai Logistics Association," the "Guidelines for ESG Evaluation of Logistics Enterprises" group standard was officially approved and released after undergoing standard research, meetings, discussions, and expert reviews. It has now become an effective standard with the standard number T/SHWL 000005—2023. The release of this standard not only promotes continuous improvement and growth in environmental, social, and corporate governance aspects of logistics enterprises but also provides a set of standardized behavioral guidelines, helping enterprises operate on a legal and compliant basis, effectively mitigate risks, and enhance social responsibility and credibility.
